Pizza has become such a great American staple because of the fact that so many people enjoy it in some form or another. In Boise, pizza places have a variety of different recipes and styles. Here are our favorite pizza places in Boise.

Smoky Mountain Pizza

Smoky Mountain Pizza is a local pizza chain with eight locations around the state of Idaho. Smoky Mountain is more of a traditional restaurant than it is a traditional pizza place — for instance, they have salads on their menu instead of a salad bar.

Their menu also includes things like sandwiches, burgers, and calzones. Plus, you can order entrees like salmon, steak, and pasta. While I normally wouldn’t want a pizza to do so many things, Smoky Mountain Pizza in Boise actually does them all well.

Plus, they have some of the best pizza in town.

Flying Pie Pizzeria

Flying Pie Pizzeria in Boise, Idaho. Pizza restaurant in Boise.

Flying Pie is probably one of the most famous pizzas in Boise. They were featured on the TV show Man vs. Food for their Triple Habanero Pizza, a specialty pizza that is only released for summer.

Flying Pie Pizzeria opened with one location, but has grown into five locations over the years. Some of their locations have a (delicious) salad bar, and others have chef-made salads. They also have sandwiches and pasta — and a lunch buffet with all you can eat pizza and salad.

Lulu’s Pizza

Lulu's Pizza and Sushi in Boise, Idaho.

Lulu’s Pizza is a newer edition to the Boise pizza scene. The most interesting part about Lulu’s is they are half pizza place and half sushi restaurant.

Lulu’s recently purchased a Boise staple, Superb Sushi, and so they serve both at their restaurant. I am not sure how many people order both (I imagine it can’t be many) but it means they have pretty much whatever you are looking for!

Lulu’s Pizza & Lulu’s Sushi only has one location currently, you can find them on your way to Bogus Basin Sky Mountain on Bogus Basin Road.

Pie Hole Pizza

Pie Hole Pizzeria is the place you should go if you find yourself out drinking at 1 o’clock in the morning. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Pie Hole has different types of pizza every time you go in there, and their most famous (and in my opinion, most delicious) is their Potato Bacon pizza.

Pie Hole is located downtown and near the Boise State campus and they are open every day from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

Guido’s Pizzeria

Guido’s falls into the same pizza bucket as Pie Hole — although delicious, it tastes best when enjoyed with a few beers. Guido’s has been around for a number of years in Boise, and has a variety of pizzas, salads, and strombolis.

Guido’s is one of those pizza places that makes delicious pizza even with few ingredients — so you have no idea why it’s so good, but it just is.

Guidos’ has two locations in Boise, on Chinden and in downtown Boise.

Red Bench Pizza

Red Bench Pizza is one of the newest additions to the Boise pizza place scene. Besides pizza, their menu also includes wings, nachos, meatballs, pasta, and desserts.

Red Bench Pizza is especially proud of their wines, which were made specifically for them by two regional wineries.

Red Bench Pizza already has two locations, on Vista Avenue in Boise and in Eagle.

Idaho may not be known for their pizza, but if you are looking for pizza in Boise there are plenty of options. Although not all of them deliver, you can always have DoorDash or other delivery places pick up your favorite pizza for delivery in Boise and have them deliver it to you.
